Michael Rogovin - Executive Director

Michael Rogovin comes to us having served in a variety of senior leadership positions in government and higher education. Most recently he was Executive Director of Operations at Brooklyn College. Prior to that he was Vice President of Operations at New York Medical College, Deputy to the Dean of CUNY Law School, and Chief of Staff to the President of The City College of New York. In New York City government he served as legal counsel to the Queens Borough President and at New York City’s Independent Budget Office. He was an associate at Kaye, Scholer, Fierman, Hays & Handler. He grew up in Flushing, New York and has degrees in Engineering and Policy from Washington University in St. Louis and in Law. from New York University.

Active in numerous Jewish and civic organizations, Michael served as President and de facto executive director Congregation Netivot Shalom of Teaneck. He was also chair of the Teaneck Environmental Commission and founding chair of the town’s Sustainability Committee, responsible for obtaining certification by Sustainable Jersey as a green community. He served on the boards of several Jewish organizations in Queens.

Michael’s interests include writing a food blog which focuses on vegan and cell cultured foods. Occasionally you will also see his articles in the Times of Israel. He lives in Teaneck with his wife Bonnie, and daughters Ora, currently an intern at the Cincinnati Zoo, and Adina, a student at Bergen Community College.
